Privacy Policy

Thus Far is built by Krager Labs LLC. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run the app, we don't sell your data, we don't show third-party ads, and your conversations with Gus are processed with Apple's on-device intelligence and Private Cloud Compute — we never see them.

What we collect

• Account: your email address, used to sign in and recover your account.
• Reading activity: the books you add, the chapters and pages you log, streaks, and notes you write in the app.
• Book scans: if you scan pages of a book you own to build a companion, those images and the text derived from them are stored for your account and used only to power your own reading companion.
• Purchase status: whether you have an active Thus Far+ subscription. Payment itself is handled by Apple; we never see your card details.
• Device tokens: a push token if you allow notifications.

What we never collect

• Your conversations with Gus. Questions you ask are answered by Apple's on-device models or Apple Private Cloud Compute, which is designed so that no one — not us, not Apple — can read your requests. They are never stored on our servers and never used to train anything.
• Your location, contacts, photos (beyond pages you deliberately scan), or browsing activity.
• Advertising identifiers. There is no third-party ad tracking in Thus Far.

Services we rely on

• Supabase hosts our database and file storage.
• Apple processes Gus requests (on device and via Private Cloud Compute) and handles App Store purchases.
• RevenueCat manages subscription status.
• OneSignal delivers notifications and the emails you opt into.

Each processes data only on our behalf and only to provide the service.

Emails and notifications

Reading reminders are spoiler-safe by construction — they are compiled per chapter and can never reference anything past the chapter you're on. You can turn off notifications in iOS Settings and unsubscribe from email with one tap in any message.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account from inside the app (Settings → Account). Deletion removes your reading history, scans, and account record from our servers. You can also email support@thusfarapp.com and we'll do it for you.

Children

Thus Far is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll say so in the app before the change takes effect.
